What influenced you to join FFA?
Growing up on a farm and being actively involved in agriculture from a young age, I was naturally drawn to FFA. The organization’s focus on leadership, personal growth, and agricultural education truly resonated with me. My experiences in 4-H and my family’s farming roots only deepened my love for agriculture, making FFA the perfect place to grow my skills, find my voice, and connect with others who share the same passion.
What inspired you to serve as a State Officer?
My FFA journey, from serving as Chapter Treasurer, Vice President, and President to competing in Meats Judging and Parliamentary Procedure, has shown me how life-changing this organization can be. I want to give back by helping other members find the same confidence, opportunities, and inspiration that I found. Serving as a State Officer is my way of mentoring others, advocating for agricultural education, and helping the next generation of leaders grow into their full potential.
What are your favorite FFA experiences?
Some of my favorite memories include winning a State title in Meats Judging in 2022 and taking first place in Parliamentary Procedure at the District level. I also loved the hustle and teamwork during Fruit Sales, where I was the top seller for several years. Holding leadership roles like Chapter President taught me valuable lessons in responsibility, communication, and resilience. These experiences shaped who I am and gave me friendships and skills I’ll carry for life.
What are your future plans?
I plan to finish my Animal Science and Agribusiness degree at UW–Platteville and return home to take over my family’s beef operation. Raising high-quality cattle is more than a career, it’s a way of life I’m proud to continue. I also hope to stay active in my community by serving as a beef superintendent at the local fair and joining the Pardeeville FFA Alumni. My biggest dream is to work in cattle vaccine research and help develop cures for diseases like cancer in both animals and humans. It’s a big goal, but it’s one I carry with passion and purpose every day.
What is something members should know about you?
I’m passionate about agriculture and leadership, but more than anything, I value people and the connections we build. Whether it's through FFA, sports, or volunteering, I believe in showing up for others and leading with heart. I’ve faced my share of challenges, but they’ve taught me grit, gratitude, and the importance of lifting others up. I’m always ready to learn, serve, and help others shine, because that’s what FFA has done for me.
